Centering
Border balance and card-image alignment on the front and back.
KORE GRADING AUTHORITY
Professional card grading built around consistency, transparency, and collector confidence.
Every KGA grade is built from a consistent review of the four areas collectors care about most.
GRADING STANDARDS
KGA grades cards from 1 through 10 using whole-number grades only. The final grade reflects overall condition, and a significant flaw can limit the final grade even when other areas are stronger.
Border balance and card-image alignment on the front and back.
Sharpness, wear, rounding, bends, and visible corner damage.
Chipping, whitening, roughness, dents, and edge integrity.
Scratches, print lines, staining, dents, creases, gloss, and print defects.
Exceptional eye appeal with sharp corners, clean edges, a virtually flawless surface, and excellent centering. Only extremely minor manufacturing imperfections may be present.
High-end condition with only a very minor flaw such as slight corner touch, tiny edge wear, subtle print imperfection, or slightly weaker centering.
Strong overall card with a small amount of visible wear or a minor surface/printing issue that keeps it below Mint.
Clean collector-grade card with light wear visible on one or more corners, edges, or surface, while maintaining strong overall presentation.
Noticeable but moderate wear. May show multiple light corner or edge issues, surface wear, or less favorable centering without major structural damage.
Moderate wear is clearly visible. Corners may be softened, edges may show whitening, and the surface may contain scratches or print wear.
Obvious wear throughout the card with rounded corners, edge wear, surface scuffing, staining, or other visible defects. Card remains structurally sound.
Heavy wear is present. May include substantial corner rounding, pronounced edge wear, surface damage, staining, or a light crease.
Severe wear or damage with major corner, edge, or surface issues. Creasing, staining, or other defects are prominent, but the card remains identifiable and intact.
Extensive wear or damage. May include major creases, tears, severe staining, missing material, extreme miscutting, or other serious defects.
Centering figures are KGA evaluation guidelines, not automatic grade guarantees. Overall condition and the severity of individual defects determine the final grade.
